Windows Perfmon To Determine Performance For iSCSI

There is no physical correlation between the SAN physical disk queue and the Windows Perfmon physical disk counters once iSCSI is involved as all disk commands are now encapsulated in network packets. You can generally divide the Perfmon physical disk counters by the number of disk spindles on the SAN to arrive at a ballpark number for the Perfmon physical disk counters but it is not an exact science.
A better approach for performance analysis with Windows Perfmon is to add in the Microsoft iSCSI initiator classes focusing on them and the Perfmon network counters such as latency. You may also include the logical disk counters but the same caveat should apply to them as the physical disk counters; they are not the sole measure of iSCSI SAN performance.
PhysicalDiskAvg. Disk Queue Length counter indicates the average number of both read and writes requests that were queued for the selected disk during the sample interval. PhysicalDiskAvg. This usually happens with smartphones. Why even buy the latest smartphone when you have a powerful computer, your own secretary, and still use Post-It notes?
When you think about it, do you really need 500,000 apps to remind you of your mother's birthday? You may think the smartphone is the craze right now, but actually it isn't.
In fact, only one-third of residents in the United States own a smartphone. What about the rest? They seem to be fine without it anyway. They don't need push email or the latest operating systems from Apple and Windows. But how about you? Do you really need it?
Here are some reasons to convince you to sell your smartphone:
1. They're all the same
- You could get the latest iPhone or Motorola Atrix models, but the earlier generations still perform the same functions. If you happen to own one, you're still going to do the same thing if you buy a new one.
2. You're not maximizing its capabilities

4. You barely bring it anywhere
- If you're a rich person that loves to travel, then having a smartphone is certainly handy. But if you're like the rest of the population, then a smartphone isn't really needed. If you bring a tablet computer or laptop with you everywhere you go (many people that have tablets also have smartphones), then you won't really use the Internet capabilities of the smartphone. The tablet is a better alternative for surfing.
Also, smartphones can be actually detrimental to your body's health. Owning a smartphone is a serious addiction. CNN reports that people normally check their smartphones at least 34 times a day, not because they really need to. They just check it out of habit. The brain simply commands the hands to reach out to the phone involuntarily.
This is a serious problem, as CNN also reports that it is very distracting. They report that it is hard to go back to work because important tasks are suddenly forgotten. Checking emails suddenly became involuntary.
If you tend to check your email using your smartphone too many times a day, then you need to think about it. Also, if you tend to zone out with your friends just because you need to check up on something, you have a problem.
If you're having these problems, just sell your smartphone and downgrade. But if you can't really live without it, just go buy a cheaper smartphone with basic smartphone features. Is cloud computing just another one of those fads or crazes designed to make us spend all our money on something just until the next craze comes around?

Now if I was a small to medium size business of say 100 employees and the company needed some kind of computer for 90 of those employees, they may only use one or two applications for a fraction of the time they are actually working; that is an awful lot of unused technology being left unused.

Organizing Your Work Well in Folders and Files for Maximum Efficiency

The importance of data cannot be overemphasized. We need to have the right data at the right time, at the right place to make informed decisions. We therefore need to manage the data and information that we have well and in a structured way, hence arrange files and folders in the most efficient and effective way.
The more we continue using computers, the more data is generated. Some questions like what to archive will arise. Archiving is storing data in a secondary location for future reference. The archived data should be accessible when needed. The decision to know what to have readily in our computers and what to archive should be made by you. When you are handling files, it is good to organize them as you work with them. This may be when creating, updating, editing or duplicating the files. Remember to create a back up for all your work, because data is quite expensive. There are different media for storing backup. You may have a USB drive, external hard disk, or even remote backup. Remember to update your back up regularly, otherwise it won't be effective and up to date Take care of your data too. Prevent any unauthorized access to your information. This involves physical security, passwords access and general care while handling files. Data security is important, maintain integrity to ensure that only the right people get access to it.
